Monday, director Charlie Shackleton is in town to present his latest, Zodiac Killer Project, at the Roxie, where Peter Hujar’s Day, Put Your Soul On Your Hand and Walk, and Mistress Dispeller all continue, Branded to Kill is at the three Drafthouses, Martin Margiela: In His Own Words is at the Balboa, Babette's Feast is at the Lark, and Manic Mimesis, an multi-projector expanded cinema show with live score, is at Artists' Television Access (ATA).

Tuesday, Odyssey Film Institute presents Planes, Trains and Automobiles (on 35mm, repeats Wednesday) at the Balboa, Jurassic Park (in 3D) is at the Vogue, and the Roxie screens Gia Coppola's The Last Showgirl and continue Coexistence My Ass! and the new restoration of Angel’s Egg.

Wednesday, La Grande Bouffe is at the 4 Star.

Thursday, pickings are slim but the Stanford's got an all-timer Anthony Mann/Jimmy Stewart double feature of The Naked Spur and The Far Country (both on 35mm, repeating Friday), Planes, Trains & Automobiles is at the Drafthouses, and The Wizard of Oz and Boys Go to Jupiter (repeating Saturday) are at the Lark.

Friday,  the new restoration of the original 1925 release version of Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush and Akira Kurosawa's Ran are at BAMPFA, Odyssey Film Institute presents Boogie Nights (on 35mm), Yi Yi opens at the Roxie, who also screen a 35mm print of Paprika (repeating Saturday) and Terrestrial Verses-director Alireza Khatami's new film (and Canada's Oscar submission) The Things You KillMagic Mike (repeats Saturday) is at the Vogue, The Nightmare Before Christmas (repeating through Sunday) and Catch Me If You Can (repeats Saturday) are at the 4 Star, and Palestine's Oscar submission, Palestine 36 (repeats through Sunday), is at the New Parkway.

Saturday, Greta Gerwig's Little Women is at the Drafthouses Mountain View (MV) and Valley Fair (VF), Yi Yi (at rush—but also at the Roxie!) and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg are at BAMPFA, Palestine 36 is at the Roxie, The Godfather is at the Balboa, the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum presents John Barrymore in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Stanford's weekend western double is The Searchers and The Unforgiven (both on 35mm, repeating Sunday), and Other Cinema presents a No-Thanks Giving show at ATA.

Sunday, our feature this week, Sudden Rain, continues BAMPFA's Mikio Naruse series, before an afternoon showing of Joel Coen's The Tragedy of Macbeth, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Movie Party is at the Drafthouses MV and VF, Babe is at the Roxie, Kelly Reichardt's Meek's Cutoff is at the Balboa, Legally Blonde is at the New Parkway, and Barry Lyndon is at the Lark.
