“Waverly Midnights” presents a 12-film selection of post-apocalyptic movies in “After the Fall,” Fridays and Saturdays at midnight, January 5-March 31. From environmental collapse (George Miller’s MAD MAX and MAD MAX 2: THE ROAD WARRIOR) to zombie apocalypse (Danny Boyle’s 28 DAYS LATER), species near-extinction (Franklin J. Shaffner’s PLANET OF THE APES, Alfonso Cuarón’s CHILDREN OF MEN) or just plain-old sociopolitical meltdown (John Carpenter’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, Lizzie Borden’s BORN IN FLAMES), the lineup offers a nightmare scenario for everyone.
