Shaffner’s PLANET OF THE APES, Alfonso Cuarón’s CHILDREN OF MEN) or just plain-old sociopolitical meltdown (John Carpenter’s ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK, Lizzie Borden’s BORN IN FLAMES), the lineup offers a nightmare scenario for everyone.
