Tracing a remarkable three-decade evolution from Taiwanese rock icon to one of Chinese-language cinema’s most essential composers, this retrospective follows Lim’s sonic journey from Taipei to the mainland and the borderlands beyond. Highlighting defining collaborations with auteurs like Hou Hsiao-hsien, Jia Zhang-ke, and Bi Gan, and featuring his personal artistic inspirations (Pink Floyd’s The Wall), this series celebrates a towering cultural force who maps modern history through rhythm, texture, and memory.
