"Museum of the Moving Image is dedicated to presenting the greatest possible versions of movies in our state-of-the-art theaters. Frequently, this means we have done our very best to track down film prints in the best conditions we can find, whether that means a newly struck 35mm or an older print that has been sitting in an archival vault, waiting to see the light of a projector. Celluloid projection creates a unique physical experience, one that is highly different from digital projection, the new industry standard. The movies in this ongoing screening series were created by the filmmakers to be shown on film and we are proud to honor those intentions. Come and experience the films in their original formats—the way they were meant to be seen.
