Frameline and YBCA are partnering to showcase a selection of double features in April, May, and June that pair Trans New Weird films with New Queer Cinema classics.
Featuring the works of Todd Haynes and Vera Drew, Stephen Winter and Alice Maio Mackay, and Gregg Araki and Jane Schoenbrun, this film series explores how our current generation of filmmakers are “rewilding” themselves in order to both renew queer cinema’s transgressive roots and push LGBTQ+ art forward.
