"The annual MONO exhibition presents work that incorporate Super 8mm, 16mm, 35mm or altered light projections as part of a live performance or installation.

"The first MONO NO AWARE expanded cinema festival was held in 2007 at Galapagos Arts Space on North 6th Street in Brooklyn. The two-day exhibition now takes place at LightSpace Studios in Bushwick, reaches an audience of nearly 1,000 each year, and presents dozens or works by international artists. You can see photos of last year's exhibition here.

"To celebrate the tenth-annual exhibition, MONO NO AWARE X, in addition to the two-day exhibition at LightSpace studios, the organization is hosting a cinema arts festival with over 20 special events, taking place November 3 - December 3 at venues all over New York.

"Program highlights include: Five Films of Gordon Matta-Clark, a Peter Hutton tribute program, films screened with an original, live score by Simone and Amedeo Pace of Blonde Redhead, a Muybridge Motion Study Workshop, and much, much more." —Mono No Aware
