Here at the Quad, we think a healthy movie-going diet should be well-rounded. That’s why we’ve selected three classics to match the many moods the holidays call to mind—each presented on 35mm. Kicking off the series is Die Hard, the 1988 blockbuster from action auteur John McTiernan (Predator, Last Action Hero, Die Hard with a Vengeance). We follow it with the chaotic family farce National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Finally, we shift gears into the Technicolor musical with Vincente Minnelli’s Meet Me in St. Louis, starring Judy Garland. Three films, three holiday vibes—one festive celebration of cinema on film.
