"Born into a family of Hollywood mavericks, Xan Cassavetes recognizes a kindred spirit when she sees one—hence her fascination with esoterically-programmed L.A. TV station Z Channel, and its cinephile program director Jerry Harvey, a fascination which led to Cassavetes’ landmark documentary Z Channel: A Magnificent Obsession.
